Privacy Policy

Lunchbox Builder is operated by Yuka Rodriguez (“we”, “us”). This page explains, in plain English, what information the app uses and why.

The short version

• You can plan lunches for free without an account. That planner is saved only in your own browser.
• If you sign in, we keep your email address and basic sign-in details so your account works.
• If you subscribe to Plus, our payment provider handles your card. We never see or store your full card number.
• We don’t sell your information and we don’t show ads.

Information we collect

• Account details. When you sign in with Google, Apple or an email link, we receive your email address and a unique account ID from that service. Google or Apple may also share your name or profile picture; we only use what’s needed to sign you in. If you use Apple’s “Hide My Email”, we receive the relay address Apple gives us.
• Plus subscription details. If you subscribe, we keep a record of your subscription status, plan, renewal or end date, and the payment provider’s customer and subscription IDs. Your card details and billing address go directly to the payment provider.
• Things you save with Plus. Your favorite lunches and saved weekly plans are stored with your account so they follow you across devices.
• Messages you send us. If you use the Contact form, we keep your name, email, topic and message so we can reply.
• Basic technical data. Like most websites, our hosting and backend providers automatically log things like IP address, browser type and request times to keep the service running and secure. For the Contact form we store a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address to prevent spam.

Information that stays on your device

Your planned week, number of kids, add-ons and grocery checkmarks are saved in your browser’s local storage. They are not sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes them.

Cookies and similar technologies

• Sign-in cookies keep you signed in for up to 30 days. They’re only set if you sign in.
• Local storage holds your planner and a short-lived note that you started upgrading, so checkout can continue after sign-in.
• Payment provider cookies may be set by our payment provider during checkout for security and fraud prevention.

We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

How we use information

• To provide the app, sign you in and remember your Plus favorites and saved plans.
• To process your subscription, check whether Plus is active, and handle billing questions.
• To answer messages and keep the service secure and free of abuse.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

Service providers we use

• Lovable — hosts the website and provides our backend (database, sign-in and server functions), which runs on Supabase.
• Stripe — processes Plus payments, manages billing, and may handle related tax, fraud and dispute matters. Your card statement may show a “LINK.COM*” prefix. See Stripe’s privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
• Google and Apple — only if you choose to sign in with them.
• Google Fonts — supplies the fonts the site displays, which means your browser contacts Google’s servers.

These providers process information for us under their own terms and privacy policies. We may also share information if required by law, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business.

How long we keep information

• Account data, favorites and saved plans: until you delete your account. If Plus ends, favorites and saved plans are kept but locked, so they come back if you resubscribe.
• Subscription and payment records: as long as needed for accounting, tax and legal reasons, even after account deletion.
• Contact messages: as long as needed to help you and keep reasonable records.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards, such as access rules that let each person see only their own saved data, and encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No online service can promise perfect security.

Your choices and rights

• Delete your account: tap your email at the top of the planner, then “Delete my account”. This removes your sign-in, favorites and saved plans. Please cancel any renewing Plus subscription first.
• Access or correct: ask us through the Contact page.
• Depending on where you live, you may have extra privacy rights under local law. Contact us and we’ll respond as the law requires.

Children

Lunchbox Builder is made for parents and caregivers planning school lunches. It isn’t directed to children, and children under 13 should not create an account or send us information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy. When we do, we’ll change the effective date above, and we’ll give notice in the app for important changes.
