Terms of Service
Effective October 16, 2026
Lunchbox Builder is operated by Yuka Rodriguez (“we”, “us”). These terms are an agreement between you and Yuka Rodriguez for using Lunchbox Builder at buildalunchbox.com. By using the app, you agree to them.
1. Who can use Lunchbox Builder
You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to create an account or buy Plus. The app is meant for parents and caregivers, not for children.
2. Free and Plus
- Free includes the lunch library, weekly planner, add-ons, grocery list, kid scaling, filters and search. No account is needed.
- Plus is $3.99/month and adds ready-made weekly plans, favorite lunches, and saved weekly plans (up to 10).
3. Subscription, renewal and cancellation
- Plus is a recurring monthly subscription. By subscribing, you authorize us (through our payment provider) to charge $3.99/month plus any applicable tax every month until you cancel.
- You can cancel anytime from Manage billing next to your plan badge. Cancellation stops future renewals. Plus stays active until the end of the month you’ve already paid for, then ends.
- If a payment fails, we may retry it. Plus may continue briefly while a payment is retried, and ends if payment can’t be collected.
- Refunds are covered in our Subscription & Billing page, which is part of these terms.
- We may change the price of Plus in the future. We’ll tell you in advance, and the new price applies from your next renewal after the notice. You can cancel before then.
4. Your account
You’re responsible for your account and for keeping access to your email, Google or Apple sign-in secure. Tell us through the Contact page if you think someone else used your account. You can delete your account at any time from the account menu.
5. Acceptable use
Please don’t misuse the app. That includes trying to break or get around security or Plus restrictions, overloading the service, scraping or copying the app’s content in bulk, reselling access, sending spam through the Contact form, or using the app for anything illegal.
6. Food, allergy and nutrition disclaimer
Lunch ideas, recipes, plans and grocery lists are general suggestions for convenience. They are not medical, dietary or nutritional advice, and they aren’t checked for allergens or specific health needs. You are responsible for checking ingredients and labels, food allergies and sensitivities, safe food handling and temperatures, portion sizes, and your school’s food rules (for example nut-free policies). Grocery amounts are estimates — please double-check before you shop.
7. Our content
The app, including its design, artwork, recipes, plans and text, belongs to us or our licensors. You may use it for your own household’s personal, non-commercial planning. Grocery lists you copy are yours to use.
8. Changes to the app
We’re a small business and the app will evolve. We may add, change or remove features. Ready-made plans are a rotating selection and may change from time to time. Plans you’ve saved stay as you saved them while your account and Plus are active. We try to keep the app available, but we can’t promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted.
9. Ending your use
You can stop using the app or delete your account anytime. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. If we stop offering Plus altogether, we’ll stop future charges and provide a fair resolution for any prepaid time.
10. Disclaimers
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties such as merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
11. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us for Plus in the 12 months before the claim (or $20 if you haven’t paid anything). Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be waived.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Florida, unless your local law gives you the right to bring it where you live. Before filing anything, please contact us — most problems can be solved quickly.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll change the effective date above and give notice in the app for important changes. Continuing to use the app after changes take effect means you accept them.
